Project Manager
Boston | Project Management

Qualifications:

  • Construction, commercial furniture or Project Management experience a plus
  • Strong analytical approach to solve problems and be able to think outside the box
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Understanding of furniture and space planning components preferred
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu and various productivity programs
  • CAP Worksheet, CAD skills and the ability to create Budgets/Pricing are a bonus 
  • Perform site visits and regularly attend construction site meetings 
  • Proficiency in on-site issue escalation and problem solving 
  • Ensure that all punch-list items have been resolved and orders closed out for invoicing in a timely fashion
  • Solid interpersonal skills and effective relationship building abilities with internal teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours including early mornings, nights and occasional weekend work

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to plan, organize, lead, and control the project efficiently and effectively from beginning to end. They must be able to work in a fast-paced, chaotic atmosphere where multi-tasking, time management and attention to detail are critical to meet multiple, ongoing deadlines. The project manager we seek will track and report order status from development through procurement, shipping, delivery, installation and punch list.

Our project managers possess the ability to develop a strong relationship with the Client. We excel at coordination with Project Management teams, Construction teams, and other outside consultants. Our goals are to provide high quality results that meet and balance the needs of the Client and the Project.

Office Resources, a market leader in Workplace, is seeking Sales Coordinators in our Client Services Department for both our Boston office. Qualifications and responsibilities include the following:

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Multiple task capability
  • Strong telecommunications skills working in a Sales oriented environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Internet Accessing and Microsoft Outlook
  • Support assigned sales staff with project work and management of all administrative requirements for Sales/Project Management teams.
  • Prepare product proposals, purchase orders, acknowledgements, delivery tickets, client/manufacturer correspondence, bid packages
  • Track orders with multiple manufacturers, freight companies, filing claims and follow up
  • Assemble product brochures, furniture cuts, materials for assigned sales staff
  • Additional word processing as needed for assigned sales team. 
  • Prepare client order status reports bi-weekly for furniture ordered
  • Proofread and confirm product order, pricing and data entry of vendor acknowledgements into furniture based Team Design program. 
  • Assist assigned Sales with coordinating deliveries and installation of various furniture systems, case goods, seating, etc. with customers and subcontracted installation companies, providing all appropriate paper work and follow up. 
  • Accompany sales and project management to client meetings and installations upon request. 
  • Attend product training with assigned manufacturers, as scheduled.

Senior Designer

Overview/Position Summary:

Works both independently and in collaboration with clients, Knoll, A&D firms, internal team and other industry partners to develop creative interior space solutions and coordinate work efforts. Serve as leader and mentor to project teams and colleagues. Lead the design process from design development to installation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work on both client facing and internal projects across many business markets
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and engagements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design concepts and solutions to clients
  • Analyze RFP/bid packages to determine our best product solutions
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on visual content for RFP/bid packages
  • Fluency on systems and ancillary furniture
  • Take initiative in learning new products, reading and learning to specify following specification instructions and guidelines, price lists, webinars, and in-person product training
  • Produce furniture block plans, test fits, space plans
  • Publish detailed drawings, renderings and virtual reality renderings, finish palettes, furniture specifications, three dimensional drawings, installation drawings
  • Develop finish documents for each project for client review and approval
  • Perform field measurements, core locations and inventory product
  • Generate, organize and maintain CAD files following standards
  • Assist team with spec checks or audits for other designers to ensure accuracy of work, finishes and product application
  • Attend vendor presentations, product training, and industry events as required
  • Ability to estimate how long a task will take, track and monitor project hours

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design 
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Proficient in CET, Yulio, AutoCAD 2021, CAP 20/20, BlueBeam, Zoom, MS Teams
  • NCIDQ certification is a plus
  • Direct report to Vice President of Design
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
