July 14th, 2011 Office Resources 15th Anniversary Beach Party  

On Thursday, June 30th, Office Resources, Inc. celebrated its 15th anniversary by hosting over 600 clients, vendors, friends and families at its annual summer beach party. The event also provided the Boston market a first glance at the recently renovated showroom at 374 Congress Street. “We are extremely proud of the reputation we have created within the Boston market. We look forward to expanding our partnership with Knoll over the next 15 years,” commented Principal of Office Resources, Paul Fraser.
 
In attendance from Office Resources’ most trusted industry partner, Knoll, were Joe Dwyer, Regional Manager, Alan Howard, Senior Vice President Northern Division and International Office Sales and John Finken, Senior Vice President. “It was great to see Boston’s real estate and design community come out to celebrate Office Resources service over the last 15 years and Knoll is proud to have Office Resources as our partner and we look forward to continued success with them in the future,” Joe Dwyer, Regional Manager of Knoll.
 
The beach party had sand, palm trees, margaritas and a band that had people dancing on Congress Street till the wee hours! Principals Kevin Barbary and Paul Fraser couldn’t have been happier. “It was a wonderful opportunity for us to thank our loyal clients, our industry partners, especially Knoll and our extraordinary employees,” Principal Kevin Barbary says. “Everyone there had a fantastic time and really kicked back and enjoyed themselves heading into the 4th of July weekend.”
 


 July 6th, 2011 Northern New England Sales Team
 

Office Resources and Knoll are very pleased to introduce our new sales team for Northern New England. The group includes Knoll’s Jonathan DeGregoris who has an extensive background in supporting Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. ORI Account Managers Katie Damon and Heather Rowan are responsible for new business development for Maine and New Hampshire and Liz Olver, ORI’s A&D Market Manager covers Northern New England as well.

 April 15th-16th, 2011 ICFF Trip
 

In a joint effort, Office Resources, Knoll and Tandus Flooring were thrilled to host a group of Boston Designers on a trip to the 23rd Annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City. As a part of the trip, they were also able to visit the Studio of Suzanne Tick and Terry Mowers, which specializes in weaving and does design work for both Tandus Flooring and Knoll Textiles. The visit to New York City also included a trip to the Knoll Showroom and a lunch with Benjamin Pardo, the Senior Vice President/Director of Design for Knoll. A great time was had by all!  April 19th, 2011 PLA! Event
 

Kristina Maffeo, Director of Business Development at Office Resources and Maureen Rystrom, Director of Marketing at J. Calnan & Associates recently launched PLA! – Professional Ladies Association. Women from various brokerage, property management, architecture and project management firms came out to PLA! and celebrate the new association. August 7 & 8, 2010 Office Resources salutes Chris Leonard for his participation in the PAN MASS Challenge!
 

In an effort to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Chris Leonard, an Offfice Resources employee, participated in the PAN Massachusetts Challenge (PMC), an annual bike-a-thon that is considered to be the largest single contributor to the Jimmy Fund, bringing in nearly 50 percent of its annual revenue. 100 percent of all funds raised by the PMC riders go directly to the Jimmy Fund. Currently, this organization has raised over $270 million!

On August 7th and 8th, 2010, Leonard completed his 7th ride for the PMC with 5300 other cyclists from over 30 different satates across the country. This 192 mile journey they made together began in Sturbridge and ended in Provincetown, MA.

"The great thing about this bike-a-thon is that participants ranged from pro-athletes to grandparents," said Leonard. "The atmosphere is not to race to the end but to support a greater cause."

Leonard started this bike-a-thon when battling his own life with cancer. The seven years he has participated in this event represents the seven years he has been cancer-free. Office Resources is proud of Leonard's accomplishments and community involvement. We hope that you can also find ways to support this great organization.

June 23, 2009 Office Resources congratulates award-winning design firm partners on their recent successes  
Office Resources wants to congratulate the student nominees at last night’s awards and especially to the recipients of the undergraduate award, Megan Dobstaff for FP3 Lofts, presented by Julie Tulloch, Office Resources Director of New Business Development; and the recipient of the graduate award, Connie Fong for New Generation Genealogy Library, presented by Kevin Barbary, Office Resources Principal.
We would also like to wish all winners and nominees of this year’s IIDA New England Awards particularly CBT for Analysis Group (2009 Best in Show and Office Under 20,000 sf) and Spagnolo Gisness & Associates, Inc. for Puma North America (Office Over 80,000 sf). It was a true pleasure to be a part of these award-winning teams and look forward to being a part of future great projects!
 
November 12, 2008 Office Resources hosts the debut of Nucraft's award winning products
On November, 12 2008, over 40 members of the Boston A&D community were part of a special social cocktail reception hosted by Office Resources, Nucraft and McGlynn Associates. The reception was held to debut the first Boston installation of the Nucraft Tavola Conference Collection in conjunction with the award-winning Neos Casegood product (NeoCon 2008 Gold Award). 

"Both the Neos and the Tavola products are representative of the tremendous strides Nucraft made in well-designed product," commented Kevin Barbary, Office Resources Principal.

Immediately following the viewing was an IIDA CEU accredited presentation featuring industry renowned designer Mark Goetz. The lecture, called, "The Art of Furniture Design," described the history, process and educational sharing of Mark's 20 year career as a furniture designer and professor. 

Also, in attendance that evening was Bill Keller, Vice President of Sales and Customer Service at Nucraft. "I thought the event was an exceptional combination of design education through the CEU accredited presentation by Mark Goetz, the introduction of Neos and Tavola two award-winning products from Nucraft and finally networking and great conversation over a glass of wine," said Keller.

"Mark Goetz, who was a wealth of knowledge through his many years of industrial design work and teaching provided an interesting view of how he and many of his Pratt University design students find inspiration for their designs," said Keller.

In his 20 year design career, Mark has been responsible for numerous collections of seating furniture pieces with a classically modern appeal. In addition to his professional career, Mark has been an industrial design professor at the Pratt Institute for 14 years.
